Retaliation and "Whistleblowing"

If you were terminated or disciplined at work for reporting a violation of the law at work, your employer may have violated your workplace rights. Such reporting may have been about unethical or illegal conduct in the workplace, unsafe working conditions, discrimination (against you or a co-worker), complaining about not getting properly or timely paid your wages, or other wrongful act in which your employer is engaged.

If you reported conduct to your employer or to an administrative or state agency concerning

discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, sex/gender or sexual orientation in your workplace, OSHA violations or other unsafe working conditions, company fraud or illegal activity, whether financial or otherwise, or other type of crime or legal violation and you were terminated (or disciplined or demoted) for it, you may have a claim for whistleblower retaliation..
